Apple is refraining from buying flash memory due to high prices, industry leaks asserted this morning. The company is expected to start negotiating a new round of contracts in spring for the NAND memory it uses in iPads, iPhones and iPods, but DigiTimes has claimed the company is avoiding a commitment until it can get a better deal.

When the iPhone or iPod touch is connected to Windows XP, a dialog is presented with choices for connecting as a digital camera and working with the digital pictures stored on the device.
This is the default behavior under Windows XP for digital imaging devices. Windows provides a way to disable this notification on a per-device basis.
